Bruce D. Thompson, CPA, CA, LPA

Bruce obtained his CA designation in 1978 and has been a partner in the firm since 1982.
He offers a variety of services to small and medium sized clients and is experienced in the municipal auditing field.

Rory K. Richards, CPA, CA, LPA, BComm

Rory obtained a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Guelph prior to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant. In addition, he has in-depth tax training by the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has been with MacKillican & Associates since 2000 and became a Partner in 2008 specializing in owner managed businesses, not for profit entities, public sector organizations and assurance engagements. He gives back to his community as a Member, Director and Co-Treasurer of the Renfrew Rotary Club. Rory’s interests include various business ventures, spending time with family and playing hockey.

Daniel J. Thompson, CPA, CA, LPA, BBA

Dan obtained an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration at Wilfred Laurier University prior to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant. In addition, he has in-depth tax training by the Institute of Chartered Accountants. His accounting career began in 2002 and he has been a Partner at MacKillican & Associates since 2011. Dan focuses on owner managed businesses, personal tax returns, trusts and estates and tax planning. He gives back to his community as a Member, Director and Co-Treasurer of the Renfrew Rotary Club and as Treasurer of the Renfrew & District Food Bank. For fun Daniel enjoys playing lob ball, hockey and the occasional poker game, as well as keeping up with his two young girls and their activities.

Jason Healey, CPA, CA, LPA, BComm, BA

Along with his CPA designation, Jason has obtained a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in accounting and a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Economics from Carleton University. He has worked in Public Accounting since 2003 focusing on audits of Municipalities, Utilities, Not for Profit Organizations in addition to working with owner managed businesses and personal tax returns. Jason regularly takes professional development courses in order to stay up to date on the latest accounting and tax issues. For fun, Jason enjoys running, fishing and traveling.

Wil Barr

Wil has a Business Diploma with a Major in Accounting. He has been an Accountant at MacKillican & Associates since 1986 and has extensive experience working with Municipalities, Utilities, Not for Profit Organizations, owner managed businesses and personal tax returns. Wil regularly takes professional development courses in order to stay up to date on the latest accounting and tax issues. For fun Wil enjoys playing golf, curling and spending time at the cottage.

Shannon Clarke

Shannon has completed the Business Accounting Program at Algonquin College. Her responsibilities include consultation and planning with First Nation Aboriginal groups, personal tax returns, owner managed businesses, as well as small business software. Most of her free time is spent with her husband and two growing boys.

Kristi Eady

Kristi graduated from the 3 year Business Administration – Accounting diploma program at Algonquin College. Her current responsibilities include bookkeeping, year-end financial statement preparation, corporate taxes, personal tax and auditing. Kristi also provides Sage 50 and QuickBooks setup, training and consulting. She volunteers at her church as a board member and secretary/treasurer. Kristi enjoys being part of the community and meeting new people. She plays on a recreational softball team, a ladies golf team and in competitive ladies and mixed volleyball league. Kristi loves getting together with family and friends.

Trudy Anne Fiebig

Trudy Anne has specialized training in Simply Accounting, Caseware and Practice Management. Her responsibilities include monitoring work in progress, managing accounts receivables and maintaining client data. She also completes quarterly bookkeeping, GST/HST returns and year end file preparation for clients. Trudy Anne is a Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis Xavier Church and helps other parishioners attend church services. For fun she enjoys playing Euchre, dancing, walking, swimming, reading, listening to Christian music, participating in bible studies & Ladies Christian retreats, going to a spa and taking vacations.

Sharron Fillator

Sharron obtained a diploma in Computerized Accounting and a Microsoft Office certificate at CDI college. Sharron brings with her many years of office administration/customer service experience and is now working fulltime as one of our two office administrators. Her duties include installation & updating of all computer programs and troubleshooting all computers and printers. She is also involved in assembling and e-filing personal, corporate and estate tax returns and finalizing financial statements. For fun in the summer, Sharron likes to play golf and spend her free time at the trailer. In the winter, she cheers loud for her favorite hockey team! GO SENS GO!.

Chris Ryan, BA

Chris graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts; Honours in Economics and a minor in Statistics in 2016. He then began the CPA Ontario PREP program in 2020 and his career as an accountant in February 2021 when he joined our team. His responsibilities include bookkeeping, personal and corporate tax preparation, financial statement preparation and he assists with auditing engagements. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time at the family cottage and watching films.

Erin Thompson, CPA, CA, BBA

Erin obtained an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration at Wilfred Laurier University prior to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant. When Erin is not working she enjoys playing recreational volleyball and looking after her two daughters.
